Abstract

The aims of this study are to analyze the impact of students’ reading habits on students’ reasoning power, and to find out students' responses to the books they have read. This Research is Quantitative method and sample by collecting data using research instruments and statistical data analysis. This research was conducted at SMP Budi Murni 2 Medan Class VII-4 in the Academic Year 2025/2026. The quantitative data analysis showed that the students mean score increased permanently from 50,03 in pre-test and 80,09 in post-test. The percentage of this mean score is 6,25% in pre-test and 62,85% in post-test. The questionnaire showed that the students’ responses are very good. It can be seen from their response that  choose strongly agree and  choose agree. They felt more enthusiastic and motivated to read and analyze their reading.
