Although there are challenges in implementation, this framework provides a solid foundation for states in their efforts to counter human trafficking, protect victims, and prosecute perpetrators. 2. National law expressly regulates the crime of human trafficking in the Law on the Elimination of Trafficking in Persons No.21 of 2007. This law was made as a manifestation of the Palermo Protocol ratified in Indonesia.
