Jurnal Pendidikan: Media, Strategi, dan Metode applies a publication fee policy to support the operational sustainability of the journal and to maintain the quality of its editorial and publication processes. This policy is designed to ensure that accepted articles can be processed, edited, formatted, published, and made openly accessible to readers. The following provides a detailed description of the journal’s publication fee policy.
1. Publication Fee
Amount of Fee: Authors whose articles have been accepted for publication in Jurnal Pendidikan: Media, Strategi, dan Metode are required to pay a publication fee of IDR 200,000 or USD 20 per article.
Scope of Fee: The publication fee covers publication-related processes, including editorial administration, peer-review management, copyediting, layout formatting, online publication, and article dissemination through the journal’s open access platform. This fee is used to support the journal’s operational needs and to maintain the quality and continuity of the publication process.
2. Payment Procedure
Payment Method: Payment may be made through bank transfer or other payment methods determined by the journal. Detailed payment instructions will be provided to authors after their manuscript has been officially accepted for publication.
Payment Deadline: Authors are expected to complete the payment within 30 days after receiving the article acceptance notification. Timely payment is required to ensure that the publication process can proceed without delay.
3. Funding Arrangement and Waiver Policy
Student and Academic Student Waiver: The journal may consider a publication fee waiver in the form of a 50% discount for authors who are students or academic students. This waiver is intended to support student participation in scholarly publication and encourage academic writing among students at schools, colleges, and universities.
Authors who are eligible for this waiver are required to submit a Publication Fee Waiver Request Letter. The letter must be signed by all authors and by a teacher or lecturer who acts as the person in charge at the relevant school, college, or university. The letter should clearly state that the author or authors are students or academic students and are requesting a publication fee discount based on the journal’s waiver policy.
For eligible authors, the discounted publication fee is IDR 100,000 or USD 10 per article after the 50% waiver is applied.
Institutional Support: Authors are encouraged to seek financial support from their institutions, research sponsors, or funding bodies to cover the publication fee. This support may help ensure that the accepted manuscript can proceed smoothly to the publication stage.
4. Transparency and Information
Fee Information: Information regarding the publication fee and waiver policy will be clearly provided on the journal website and in the author guidelines. This ensures that authors are aware of the required publication fee, available waiver option, and supporting documents before submitting their manuscripts.
Use of Fee: The publication fee is used to support journal operational costs, including platform maintenance, editorial management, peer-review administration, article production, and open access distribution. The journal is committed to using the fee responsibly to support the quality and sustainability of its publication activities.
5. Refund Policy
Refund of Fee: The publication fee is non-refundable once the article has been accepted and processed for publication. However, if technical problems or errors caused by the journal prevent the article from being published, a refund may be considered in accordance with the journal’s policy.
6. Fairness and Open Access

Readers are not charged any subscription or access fees, ensuring that published articles can be freely accessed by the academic community and the public.
