Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of a group tutoring program in increasing elementary school students' interest in learning at UPT SPF SDN 104186 Tanjung Selamat. The program was designed to address challenges in student engagement by fostering collaboration, personal attention, and active participation. Through a mixed-methods approach, data were collected using observation, interviews, and pre- and post-program surveys to measure changes in students' interest and attitudes toward learning. The results revealed a significant improvement in students' enthusiasm and motivation, with many demonstrating increased willingness to participate in class activities and complete assignments. The group tutoring sessions also encouraged peer interaction, allowing students to learn from one another in a supportive environment. Teachers reported that the program provided an effective platform to address individual learning gaps, thereby improving overall academic performance.Key factors contributing to the program's success included the use of interactive teaching methods, the creation of a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, and the active role of educators in guiding and mentoring students. These findings highlight the potential of group tutoring as a scalable and adaptable model for enhancing student engagement in primary education settings. Further research is recommended to explore its long-term impact and applicability in different educational contexts.
